The East Coast Wings Story
It started with a dare and a dream. Back in 2009, founder Marcus Rivera challenged himself to craft the perfect buffalo wing in his Lower East Side apartment — a wing crispy enough to crack, saucy enough to stain, and flavorful enough to remember. After months of late-night experiments, his friends and neighbors became devoted taste-testers, and word spread fast through the streets of New York.
By 2011, East Coast Wings opened its first storefront on 1st Ave — a modest 12-seat spot that quickly developed a line around the block. Marcus's dedication to hand-crafting every sauce in-house and sourcing free-range, antibiotic-free chicken set the restaurant apart from everything else in the neighborhood.
"I didn't set out to build a restaurant. I set out to find a perfect wing. The restaurant just happened because I couldn't keep the secret to myself."
— Marcus Rivera, FounderToday, east coast wings continues to honor those original recipes while pushing creative boundaries with seasonal flavors, craft sauces, and community-first values. Every wing we serve carries a piece of that original apartment kitchen spirit.
